Every year our staff choose a charity to support and then embark upon a whirl of fundraising events for 12 months culminating in a substantial sum for the nominated charity. Charities are nominated for a number of reasons – they can be local or can be particularly personal to a member of staff. Charities supported in the past have included Breakthrough Breast Cancer, Helen Ley, the Warwickshire Air Ambulance, The Princes Trust - Coventry and Warwickshire, Home Start, Macmillan Cancer Support-Coventry and Warwickshire Division, Zöe’s Place, and most recently The Myton Hospices.
Our chosen charity for 2010 is Help for Heroes. Help for Heroes raises money to support members of the Armed Forces who have been wounded in the service of their country. Monies raised go towards making grants that aim to provide practical, direct support for the wounded. Help for Heroes' current focus is for grants to create a series of regional Recovery Houses to be built across the UK and serve as the last stage of rehabilitation before a serviceman, or woman, returns to their unit or transits back into civilian life.
We’re always happy to hear from prospective charities, so if you would like to be considered as the firm’s charity for 2011, please forward your details (before October 2010) to our Social Committee Chairperson by post at our office address or by email to
