Manchester Hilton high life

Guests at a luxury city centre hotel can now enjoy the high life in its showcase bar – thanks to Andrew Potts.

Wright Hassall has handled the licensing application for the prestigious Hilton Manchester Deansgate hotel – which has a feature bar situated on the 23rd floor.

The Cloud 23 is one of the highest points in the country where people will be able to enjoy a drink.

Licensing legal expert Andrew Potts commented: “I have completed the application for the licence for the entire Hilton Manchester, including the Sky Bar which is right up in the clouds with stunning views of the city below.

“Guests can relax in contemporary surroundings while taking in the sights of the city below and beyond.

“I have secured the licences for many venues up and down the country over the years but this ranks as one of the most impressive.”

Mr Potts is a partner in the licensing and gaming department of the 200-strong law firm and has 30 years’ experience in the sector advising on applications for all types of premises from stadiums to hotels, pubs, clubs, restaurants and airports.

The 280-room Hilton Manchester occupies half of the 47 storey Beetham Tower Manchester building.

The deluxe hotel includes a business centre and conference facilities for up to 600 people, an executive lounge and access to a LivingWell Express leisure complex with swimming pools and beauty treatment rooms.

The Beethan Tower is a mixed-use project in the city’s trendy Deansgate area which at 561 ft is the UK’s tallest building outside London and one of the tallest residential buildings in Europe.
