Holy Trinity concerts

Law firm Wright Hassall hopes to bring music to the ears of Leamington residents through a series of specially arranged concerts.

The firm is the main sponsor of concerts organised by Leamington Music and Holy Trinity Church in Beauchamp Avenue to mark its 160th anniversary.

Four concerts with international musicians will be staged for the celebrations from April 12 to June 16, along with events including poetry readings and exhibitions.

Children from Arnold Lodge, Kingsley School, Milverton Junior School and North Leamington School will also take to the stage for a special schools concert.

They will perform their own compositions on the theme of Leamington at the concert on Friday, May 11.

Richard Phillips, festival director from Leamington Music, said: “The concerts are a coming together of the people in the church and music world to celebrate such a special anniversary.

“We have invited a stunning line-up of musicians from across the world and are also delighted that local children will have the chance to join the celebrations.”

Organisers hope that funds raised from the concerts will enable the church to reinstall metal railings around the outside that were removed to make armaments during the Second World War.

Mark Lewis, from Wright Hassall, said: “It was Wright Hassall’s 160th anniversary last year and so we are delighted to be supporting Holy Trinity, which is a well-known local landmark, for the same celebration.

“Richard and his team have put together an impressive programme of music, which we are sure will be an extremely enjoyable part of the church’s celebrations and will help to raise funds.”

Tickets can be booked by phone, online or at locations throughout Leamington. For more information log on to www.bridgehousetheatre.co.uk or call 01926 776 438.
