‘I wouldn’t have got to where I am today…without an excellent team’. Richard Lane, managing partner, Mary Rouse,
Litigation Manager, and Mary Stansfield, Legal Assistant, have all just clocked up 60 years service between them.
Over that period, they’ve witnessed some fundamental changes – not least the impact of technology on working practices (golf ball typewriter anyone?) and the transformation of the business from a traditional, town centre solicitors’ practice into the large, modern law firm operating today.
Mary Stansfield joined straight from secretarial college and has worked for every team within litigation, returning full circle to work with Mary Rouse, who heads up the residential property disputes team dealing primarily with landlord and tenant law. Richard Lane who progressed from assistant solicitor to managing partner, was a driving force behind the growth, both in size and reputation, of the firm’s commercial litigation practice and since 1996 has been closely involved with the management and growth of the firm as a whole.
