Charities struggling with financial and legal issues have been offered a helping hand by two Warwickshire-based firms.
Accountants and financial advisers, Harrison, Beale and Owen (HB&O) and Wright Hassall solicitors will host a free seminar on Thursday, October 9, for charities and not-for-profit organisations to discuss legal changes and financial issues.
The seminar will offer guidance on laws within the Charities Act, along with advice on accounts, taxation and audit reports.
The event is both for newly-formed charities and for larger organisations.
Marie Bawden, of HB&O, said: “We want to advise local charities and non-for-profit organisations to understand the legal and financial issues surrounding them.
“The legislation can be tricky and we want to make sure that the attendees are at an advantage rather than a disadvantage – so we are hoping to bring them up to speed with recent changes.”
The seminar will be held at Wright Hassall’s Olympus Avenue headquarters and will run from 2pm to 4.15pm. To attend, call Marie Bawden on 01926 422292 or email marie.bawden@hboltd.co.uk
