Wright Hassall advises on sale of Enable Infomatrix to leading private equity group, Sovereign Capital

Midlands law firm Wright Hassall has advised the shareholders of Enable Infomatrix Limited (“EIX”) on its sale to Sovereign Capital, the leading mid-market private equity house.

EIX, a leading supplier of web-based information management software solutions, headquartered in Warwickshire, will now become part of a group of companies, including Sypol, focused on the Governance, Risk & Compliance sector. Colin James and Alan Neill, both executive directors of EIX, will join the senior management team of the new group.

Tim Goodman led the WH team assisted by Steve Halkett on the corporate side and Christine Jackson on the commercial/IP side. PWC Legal acted for Sovereign Capital.

Tim Goodman said: “Although the M&A market remains subdued, certain of the private equity groups remain acquisitive for high quality growth businesses to integrate with their existing portfolio companies”.

EIX is an interesting example of the diverse range of companies based in the area and we are very pleased to have been able to advise its shareholders on the sale. Following on from the £5m disposal of Cobent earlier this year, it is also further evidence of the capability of the Wright Hassall team to complete deals in difficult market conditions”.

Alan Neill, on behalf of the selling shareholders, said: “We are delighted to have completed the transaction in such a smooth and efficient way and appreciate Wright Hassall’s advice and support throughout the process. “
