WH advises on merger of local property agents

Warwickshire’s growing reputation as a professional centre of excellence has been underlined by a recent merger.

Property agents Peter Bromwich & Company and Evans & Hardy merged to form ehB, creating one of the largest full service companies in its sector – and didn’t need to go beyond the town for the expertise to make the deal happen.  Leading  solicitors Wright Hassall, who employ 200 staff in , provided all the legal services while business advisors and accountants Harrison Beale & Owen looked after the financial aspects of the merger.

Tom Bromwich, a director of ehB said the fact that the merger had gone so smoothly was due, in no small part, to the professional expertise available in the town.

He said: “There is no doubt that Leamington has a thriving business scene and it was a massive help that we were able to call on such a high calibre of expertise right on our doorstep to help in what was the biggest transaction either of the firms had ever undertaken.

Merging two companies can be an involved process but because we could work so closely with such high calibre advisors made it that much easier.

“There is always a temptation to look to a bigger city for legal and financial services but really there is no need when you consider what  has to offer.

"From our experience I would certainly advise people to use the professional resources we have here on our doorstep. Both the companies we use compete against operations in  and  and as well as having that level of expertise, have the advantage of being close at hand.”
