Bob Wilson, Head of Estates, University of Warwick
A Chartered Architect by profession, Bob has been involved with the design of Higher Education buildings for around 25 years. He studied at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow and completed an MBA at Glasgow Business School. Before joining Warwick, he was Director of Estates at the University of Glasgow and has worked extensively for, amongst others, the Higher Education Funding Councils in Scotland and England, the Medical Research Council and the Wellcome Trust. He was also a member of the Scottish Funding Council Property Advisory Group which assessed development plans for Scottish further and higher education institutions. The University’s Estates Office is responsible for managing the University's land, buildings and holdings.

Alan Darby, Tax Director, Wright Hassall LLP
With over 25 years in the accountancy profession, Alan joined Wright Hassall from KPMG. He specialises in managing the cost of employment for businesses of all sizes: in the construction sector, his clients have ranged from large multi-nationals to small SMEs. He also has wide-ranging experience in advising businesses on Tax Compliance including investigations by HMRC and the technical aspects of workforce taxation.

Patrick Nagle, UK/Northern Europe Division Director, Freyssinet
After graduating from Imperial College in 1983, Patrick, a Chartered Civil Engineer, joined Laings where he worked for five years on a variety of motorway projects. After two years on the Broadgate Development in London with Schal as Project Manager, he joined the Freyssinet Group in Hong Kong as Construction Manager and then became Manager of the Major Projects Division in Paris. He is currently Group Director responsible for the UK, North Europe, Middle East and South Africa. Freyssinet are part of the Vinci Group, the world’s leading Construction/Concession Company.

John Healy, Associate Director, Northcroft
John is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 20 years construction industry experience in project and cost management with leading international consultants. He specialises in cost and project management and has undertaken development monitoring and technical due diligence on a wide range of projects in the UK across all sectors of development.

Philip Harris, Partner, Wright Hassall LLP
Philip has been head of the Construction and Engineering team since 2001. He advises on all aspects of construction law for contractors, specialist subcontractors, employers and insurers. He has written extensively for industry journals and legal publications on a range of construction related issues. Philip is a Chartered Arbitrator, Adjudicator and a CEDR Accredited Mediator and has rights of audience in the High Court.

Vaughan Burnand, Immediate Past Chairman, Constructing Excellence
Under Vaughan’s guidance as Chief Executive of Shepherd Construction (2000 - 2008), the company increased turnover by 60% to £400m, employing 1000 people across three divisions in addition to PFI investment subsidiaries. While there, he oversaw the restructuring of the company and revolutionised its approach to lean construction, business development, risk, value and supply chain management and health & safety. He was Chairman of Constructing Excellence (April 2009 - June 2010), Chairman of the MCG Health & Safety Group (2004 - 2008) and is currently Chair of the Strategic Forum H&S Group.
