Runners put their best feet forward on Sunday to raise cash for charity at this year’s Wright Hassall Regency Run.
The Mayor of Leamington Spa Councillor Iain Jermond started the 10km race for 1,250 runners who flowed through the streets and parks of the town.
Last year’s inaugural run, which was arranged by the Leamington Round Table, raised £10,000 and organisers hope to have generated at least £15,000 to donate to local charities and good causes.
Russell Hall, from the Round Table, said: “The run was really successful and again shows that people are willing to get out and run in the name of charity as well as attract serious club athletes.
“The fun aspect also makes the day enjoyable and we hope to have exceeded our target for fundraising.”
The race began at the corner of Newbold Terrace and Willes Road and took in the Pump Rooms and Jephson Gardens before finishing in Mill Gardens.
Jane Senior, from Wright Hassall, said: “It was a fantastic event and we were delighted to be the main sponsors and to take part.
“Russell and the Round Table have done a brilliant job of organising the event and ensured it ran smoothly.
“The race has raised even more funds that can go towards helping local causes.”
The winner, Emerson Combstock, from Wolseley UK and Coventry Godiva Harriers, completed the course in under 34 minutes.
