Wright Hassall solicitors Mark Miller and Mark Lewis helped to drive through a major double deal.
Wright Hassall acted on behalf of Evesham firm WCR in its sale to P.F.B Self Drive.
WCR consisted of two parts – a refuse vehicle hire business and a recycling and waste collection business.
Following the sale to Birmingham-based P.F.B, the recycling and waste arm of the company was then bought back by WCR shareholders Nik Spencer and Loyd Chandler for another of their companies Revolve Waste Management Group.
The deal was made complicated by the fact that WCR had to be split into two businesses and, therefore, Wright Hassall had to identify which assets, employees, debtors, creditors, customers and stock needed to be attributed to each business.
Mark Lewis, a senior partner at the 200-strong Wright Hassall, said: “There is a great deal of satisfaction in the conclusion of a deal such as this.
“Because of the nature of the sale and then buy-back, it meant it was much more complex than a simple deal where one business is sold to another.
“But I am delighted to say that we worked through those complexities and everything ran very smoothly to its conclusion.”
Wright Hassall's corporate team of nine lawyers is one of the most established in the region and is involved with a wide range of transactions.
David Buxton of Stratford-based accountants H.L Barnes was also heavily involved in the deal.
