Property professionals glimpse perfection!

Midlands property professionals have glimpsed perfection – but it was only make believe.

Eight experts from different property disciplines ran through a fictional development to highlight problems which arise in a real life project – and how they can be avoided.

Ian Courts, a consultant and former managing director of Laing Homes, chaired the Warwickshire Property Forum event at the Trident Business Centre and acted as the landowner looking to develop his site.

He said: “We ran through the whole sequence of events which leads from the sale of land right through to completion and handover of a building.

“We looked at how hold ups can be avoided and how the whole process can be smoothed out.

“The strong message was that the earlier professionals are involved and talk to each other the better for everyone involved.

“It was an extremely useful exercise and hopefully it gave an insight to the audience who, like the panel, were drawn from all areas of the property world.”
