Pritpal deals with all planning, highways and environmental law matters and related local government law issues. He advises on all matters relating to Town and Country Planning and environmental issues including planning appeals and planning enforcement appeals, Section 106 Agreements and various highways agreements and licences. In addition, he has also advised on appeals against the Secretary of State, challenges to the local plan process, injunctions for breach of planning control, stopping-up orders, path extinguishment and diversion orders, rights of way issues, land drainage issues and Traffic Management Orders.
His experience has involved advising and assisting on the review and adoption of the London Borough of Camden’s Unitary Development Plan, assisting on the issues relating to the compulsory purchase of sites across King’s Cross, under the Channel Tunnel Rail Link Bill and attending before the Transport Select Committee in the House of Commons.
He was involved in a number of high profile projects in London including:
the Environmental Impact Assessments for the King's Cross redevelopment project;
enforcement actions and appeals in relation to breach of planning controls to the Shaw Park Plaza Hotel;
the public inquiry relating to remodelling of the West Coast Main Line;
the judicial review of the Swiss Cottage redevelopment project;
the breach of planning control in relation to the British Museum;
the redevelopment of Kingsway High Holborn Gyratory (development)
the redevelopment of the Brunswick Shopping Centre
advising North London Waste Authority on credits for packaging/recycling waste
