Andrew joined Wright Hassall from Oxfordshire County Council. He specialises in conveyancing matters for RSLs (both charitable & non-charitable) and public bodies, including local authorities. He has extensive experience of the issues and provisions relating to public bodies and their dealings with land.
Background
Andrew is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives. In 1968 he joined the Midland Road Construction Unit (part of the then Ministry of Transport) where he dealt with compulsory purchase orders for motorway and major trunk road schemes in the Midlands. in 1973 he joined Sutton Coldfield Borough Council which became part of Birmingham District Council. This was followed by a period in private practice where he acted for Housing Associations, dealing with site acquisitions, plot sales, section agreements as well as landlord & tenant matters. In 1995 Andrew joined Oxfordshire County Council, concentrating on conveyancing matters,including the statutory transfer of a school site.
