Gemma deals with claims for clients who have suffered injuries arising from a wide variety of types of accident and medical negligence, including road traffic accidents, accidents at work, accidents in public places and accidents caused by defective products. She has dealt with claims ranging in value from modest claims involving minor whiplash injuries to high value claims involving permanent disability, pain and suffering. She is particularly interested in accidents caused by defective products, which give rise to an action under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.
Background
Gemma joined Wright Hassall’s personal injury team in 2001 as a paralegal. After successfully completing her training contract with Wright Hassall, she qualified as a solicitor in 2004 and returned to the PI team to specialise in personal injury and clinical negligence law.
Interests
Away from work, Gemma is an avid fan of most sports and in particular football, spending most Saturday afternoons cheering on her favourite team.
