As a partner in the Wills, Trusts & Tax department, John advises clients in the administration of estates and trusts; tax efficient wills and living wills; inheritance tax planning issues; powers of attorney; and he also advises charity trustees. John also deals in property matters, farm business tenancies, estate and tax planning and single farm payments.
The 2005 Legal 500 survey has rated John personally for the quality of his agricultural law expertise. He is also mentioned in the Legal 500 'Who's Who in the Law' as a specialist in agricultural law and property. John is clerk to Southam United Charities.
Background
John graduated from the University of Leicester. He trained with Owstons and qualified in 1995. He then moved to Lester, Dixon & Jeffcoate in 1995 as an assistant solicitor. John joined us in 1999 and became a partner in 2004.
Interests
John is a proud Coventrian and is a keen follower of local sports teams. John enjoys rugby union both as a player and lifelong fan of Coventry Rugby club as well as cricket, football, speedway, literature, theatre and spending time with his family.
