Michael advises clients in the administration of estates and trusts including the administration of estates with foreign assets; standard and tax efficient Wills; inheritance tax planning issues; powers of attorney including Enduring and Lasting Powers; applications to the Office of the Public Guardian for Deputyship orders and for permission to make tax planning gifts; residential nursing home issues; local authority funded care, and issues that affect the elderly.
Background
Michael undertook the Legal Practice Course at the University of Birmingham and qualified with Clarke Willmott in Birmingham in 2005. He then moved to Standley & Co in Knowle before joining Wright Hassall in November 2007.
Interests
Michael is a keen supporter of Birmingham City FC and enjoys playing football, squash and golf. Michael also enjoys reading and travelling abroad, in particular to South America and South East Asia.
