Paul heads up the secured lending unit, acting for lenders in taking security over commercial property including legal charges and debentures. He also acts for both landlords and tenants in leases of industrial office and retail premises including licences to underlet to assign and licences for alterations; acting for both sellers and buyers of commercial property; and advising and drafting options to sell and purchase.
Paul also undertakes development work for residential house builders and affordable housing providers and advises charitable institutions on property holdings.
His recent work includes acting on underlettings and lease assignments in relation to a major travel company's headquarters; on developments of residential sites for a Midlands housebuilder and development sites for a rural housing trust.

Paul lives in Hook Norton, Oxfordshire and is a member of the British South Africa Law Association. He enjoys walking, aviation, cinema, literature (having spent 11 years as a lecturer in English literature) and real ale.
