Peter was the driving force behind the establishment and development of the Corporate department at Wright Hassall. Over the years he has been involved in many significant corporate transactions including mergers, acquisitions, MBOs/MBIs. The department was put firmly on the map in the mid 1980’s when Peter acted for clients in a £34m sale, which was, at the time, the largest deal that the firm had ever done.
Background
Peter was admitted as a solicitor in 1979 and became a partner at Wright Hassall in 1982. As well as his corporate work, Peter was Wright Hassall’s Managing Partner until the end of 2008 and was the architect of the firm's corporate and commercial operation.
Interests
Personal interests include rugby (having played for both Moseley Rugby FC and Old Leamingtonians Rugby FC); cricket (former chairman and captain and long-time serving committee member of Leamington Cricket Club) and golf.
