Stuart is a partner and Solicitor-Advocate in the commercial disputes resolution team. He specialises in the following:
Commercial disputes including:-
- disputes involving breach of contract or warranties or restrictive covenants or guarantees;
- disputes relating to the sale and purchase of corporate assets;
- disputes between partners, shareholders or directors;
- disputes involving breach of employee, partner or director restrictive covenants; and
- disputes involving emergency remedies including injunctions.
Regulatory and disciplinary matters including:-
acting on behalf of sport national governing bodies and individual sports athletes before disciplinary and regulatory tribunals including anti-doping cases and appeals to Sport Resolutions and the Court of Arbitration for Sport;
acting on behalf of professionals before their regulatory and disciplinary bodies;
advising sport national governing bodies on regulatory and disciplinary procedures and disputes; and
acting on behalf of sport national governing bodies in relation challenges to their actions through the High Court.
Professional negligence and fraud disputes including disputes involving:-
lenders;
solicitors;
surveyors; and
Stuart has a wealth of experience providing specialist advocacy services in the Court of Appeal, High Court and County Court as a Solicitor-Advocate including:-

Background
Stuart read law at Kings College, London and subsequently trained with Bevan Ashford, qualifying in 1998. He headed up the Disputes Resolution team at a south coast, multi-office practice before joining Wright Hassall in 2008 and becoming a partner in 2010.
Interests
Stuart spends his spare time playing and watching football (as a life long Liverpool fan), squash, golf, cycling and training for the Great North Run (having previously run the London Marathon).
