No. If you sack someone for pointing out an imminent risk to health and safety, it is automatically deemed to be an unfair dismissal, regardless of his length of service. You should take his comments seriously, take such steps as are reasonable (for example, asking the opinion of the Health and Safety Executive), and ensure that the minimum disciplinary procedure is followed (see Discipline and grievance).
