Rurally-based organisations and societies

We can advise on the formation, management and running of all types of profit and non-profit organisations operating in the rural sector. The types of organisations that we currently act for include:

  • cattle and horse breed societies
  • rural organisations
  • equine organisations such as the BSJA, BEF, British Dressage and British Eventing
  • charities such as the ARC Addington Fund and the Rare Breeds Survival Trust

Impact of CAP Reform

The SPS was introduced in 2005 as part of the "Mid-Term review". The current scheme runs until 2012 but already discussion is developing on what changes will take place in 2013 and beyond. These discussions consider whether or not the SPS should be abolished or replaced or whether there should be a redistribution between Pillar 1 to Pillar 2.

Taking into account the above we can advise on:

  • resolving conflict between individual farmers and organisations operating in the agri-environment sector
  • opportunities available for exploring increased funding
  • management of schemes benefitting from public money
  • dealing with Government and other public sector bodies
