Getting a new job

When starting a new job, you need to know what your employment rights are.  You should have an employment contract.  It doesn’t have to be in writing but you are entitled to a written statement of your main employment terms within two months of starting work.  Having a written contract should cut out any misunderstanding with your employer at a later stage.  You and your employer are bound to the employment contract until it ends (usually by giving notice) or until the terms are changed (usually in an agreement between you and your employer).

For a no-obligation chat about how we can support you as you start your new job, please contact Ian Besant or Suki Harrar.
