Transferring your property

If you are going through a divorce or separating from your partner you may need to transfer your property. Whether you are transferring to yourself or to your spouse, we can ensure the paperwork you are signing is correct and that you are fully protected. We would always suggest you have either a Consent Order of Divorce or a Separation deed prepared.

If your property is in your sole name and you want to transfer it to yourself and your spouse either for tax reasons or otherwise, we can take you through the process and explain the implications to you.

If your property is in the joint names of yourself and your partner and your relationship has ended, we can advise you how to transfer the property into your name or your partner’s name and advise on the tax implications of this.

If you own your property and are considering transferring this to your family, either for tax reasons or to protect your equity in your property for your family, we can advise you on the advantages and pitfalls.

We will always give you a full breakdown of the legal costs and expenses you will need to pay.

For a no-obligation chat about transferring your property, please contact Chris Meredith on 01926 880714.
