What is an Express Last Will and Testament?

Our Express Last Will and Testament is a simple process designed for people whose affairs are uncomplicated. It is quick, easy and inexpensive and can be completed in the comfort of your own home. Our Express Last Will and Testament has been created for individuals or for married or co-habiting couples making mirror-image last will and testaments. Unlike many 'off the peg' last will and testaments, there are no hidden costs (such as storage) and it will be thoroughly checked by a solicitor to make sure that it is correct.

What will my Express Online Last Will and Testament cover?

1. Burial/cremation wishes
2. Appointment of executors
3. Appointment of guardians for minor children
4. Simple gifts of cash (legacies)
5. Simple gifts of your personal chattels (specific bequests)
6. Absolute gift of the remainder of your estate (your Residuary Estate) to a spouse or partner; with a substitution gift to children or grandchildren or to such other persons in such proportions as you specify, in the event of the spouse or partner predeceasing you.

What do I do next?

To prepare your last will and testament, there are five easy steps to take:

1. Complete the Express Online Last Will and Testament questionnaire (we have included a guide to help you complete this).
2. Include a cheque for £70.00 (£84.00 inc VAT @ 20%) for a single last will and testament or £95.00 (£114.00 inc VAT @ 20%) for a pair of mirror last will and testaments.
3. Send to: Express Online Last Will and Testament, Wright Hassall LLP, Olympus House, Olympus Avenue, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, CV34 6BF.
4. We will draft your last will and testament and send it to you, together with instructions on how to sign it, plus a receipted invoice (please note that we will not cash your cheque until the draft has been produced).
5. Either sign your last will and testament following the instructions and return it to us or, if you prefer, come into our offices to sign it (although this will incur an additional fee of £30 plus VAT).

Once you have signed your last will and testament, we are happy to store it in our strong room, free of charge.

I’m not sure if an Express Last Will and Testament is right for me...

• own any foreign assets;
• are permanently resident outside England and Wales;
• have any financial dependants other than your partner and children;
• are intending to become divorced or dissolve your civil partnership;
• pay maintenance to anyone;
• are a beneficiary under a trust;
• own your own business, business property or agricultural property;
