Making a will

Making a will

arrow Why make a will?
Without making a will, everything you own could end up going to the state. A will is the only way of guaranteeing that your property goes where you want it to go - particularly, if you are not married and live with your partner and/or you have children.
arrow Types of wills
There are two main types of will: standard and tax planning. As a general rule of thumb, if your estate is worth more than £300,000 (including the value of your house), a tax planning will is likely to be the best solution.
arrow Why use a solicitor?
Using a solicitor ensures that not only is the will correctly drafted but also that it is the right one for your personal circumstances. In addition, a solicitor can ensure that any will is correctly signed and witnessed to prevent it being challenged in the future.
