We make applications to the Charity Commission on behalf of housing associations to obtain successful charitable status and advise on conversions, maintaining charitable status and other charity related issues. We have regular dealings with the Charity Commission and therefore are aware of the issues relating to RSLs as registered charities. We also advise RSL clients on registration with the FSA as an industrial provident society under the Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1965 and issues relating to the RSL remaining registered.
