Logistics

Logistics

The logistics sector is estimated to be worth over £55 billion to the UK economy¹.  Coupled to this, the view that 64% of all logistics costs in the UK are directed to third and fourth party logistics providers (3PLs)², it is clear there is a lot to play for.  However, there are a number of challenges affecting the industry: environmental concerns, the importance of IT utilisation and collaboration, to name but a few.  And, as ever, there are the increasing demands from customers for lower costs and continuous service improvements.
