We have a great deal of experience in advising and assisting in the formation of sporting bodies and membership organisations and preparing the necessary documentation to govern how such bodies/organisations are to operate. In particular, we have a wealth of experience in acting for sports governing bodies and membership organisations in relation to:
- Drafting bespoke constitutional documentation;
- Making amendments to existing constitutional documentation;
- Drafting bespoke rules/regulations;
- Making amendments to existing rules/regulations;
- Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts;
- Advice in relation to charitable status;
- Assisting and advising in the initial stages of external and internal disciplinary matters; and
- Assisting and advising in relation to problem members and other similar issues affecting membership organisations.
We act for a number of sports governing bodies including: British Dressage, the British Show Jumping Association and the Grand National Archery Society.
