Business Intelligence Analyst
Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.
As Business Intelligence Analyst you will be responsible for the provision of high-quality information covering the lifecycle of mining the data, undertaking analysis and reporting on findings. Whilst reporting into the Finance team, you will hold reporting responsibility for the Firm to assist in key decision making that will influence change within the Firm.
Please note that the opportunity for home working in this role is limited, and the expectation is that the successful candidate should be able to attend our office in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
Experience
As Business Intelligence Analyst you will have worked on projects with multiple IT resources & business partners. An experienced BI Developer & Data Analyst with a background in data warehouse design, data mining and providing comprehensive reports to senior members of a business. In addition, you will also have the following technical skills:
- Advanced Microsoft SQL Server querying skills;
- Advanced Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services skills to administer instances and create data sources and reports from scratch;
- Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services familiarity;
- Strong understanding of relational and transactional database schemas;
- Advanced Excel skills; and
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence reporting tools (Connexica’s ‘CXAIR’ product would be ideal).
Job Responsibilities
- Supporting the Board, Equity Partners and Partners with their management information and data analysis requirements;
- Developing Business Analytics Dashboards and performing ad-hoc data analysis;
- Identifying, collating and analysing external data sources;
- Compile & analyse commercial & financial data to identify trends;
- Provide comprehensive reports that detail the outcome of the MI and trend data that has been reviewed; and
- Working across the Firm with colleagues to understand their ‘true’ MI needs to ensure that the right data is collated, analysed and reported against.
