My overall impression was that Wright Hassall was impressive – from the respect that it holds clients and business in a way you would expect from a big city law firm, but has the friendly, warm and welcoming atmosphere that you wouldn’t expect

Work experience 2016

I particularly enjoyed the range of different areas of law I was able to experience. It was very useful spending a day in different departments instead of a week in one place. I liked how in some of the departments they gave me actual work that they were looking at themselves, which was very helpful to get a true flavour of the kind of work they encounter. It was beneficial when people were able to take time out of their busy day to talk through tasks with you and explain more about the type of work they deal with

Work experience 2016

It seems like a place where everyone enjoys working and it seems that everyone works their hardest at all times. It’s great that it is all open as it adds to a much friendlier environment to work within, and doesn’t feel as scary as other places. Wright Hassall is the sort of place I would love to work in, in the future

Work experience 2016

It seems like a very fun place to work in the sense that it’s full of a variety of diverse people and they actually support each other and get the work done

Work experience 2016

Spending this week at Wright Hassall has given me a fantastic impression of the firm! Every department I visited was very friendly and gave off quite a lively atmosphere, which was really nice to see in an office which can often be portrayed as a very dull place to work. I would definitely recommend this firm to others who were looking to gain experience in law

Work experience 2016

I liked the variety of the teams we sat with; it provided an interesting picture of the individual teams but also Wright Hassall as a whole. Being treated as a trainee and not a work experience pupil made it easier to engage with the teams and also the work being set. The whole thing provided a real chance to experience real work as a paralegal/trainee/solicitor and also build a more accurate picture of life in the legal profession. While this was my first legal work experience, it was clear to see that this was incredibly well structured and organised
