One wet Tuesday in July, members of the farms & estates team, resplendent in gilets and wellies, were on location at Glebe Farm, Wasperton (courtesy of clients, Oliver and Charlotte Johnson) filming on a range of topics including Farm Business Tenancies, Brexit, agricultural disputes, buying or selling land, and diversification.

Chickens, pigs, cows and the farm shop all featured widely and Max, the Johnson’s two-year old son, was thrilled at the opportunity to give us a guided tour along with a detailed explanation about each animal.

Our lawyers were videoed in different settings (accompanied by the sound of drumming rain) around the farm sharing their knowledge and advising on a variety of issues faced by farmers: Paul Rice explained the potential impact of Brexit on the farming community, emphasising the positive aspects for an industry which will be directly affected by the decision to leave the EU; and Alex Robinson advised aspiring farmers how to overcome the hurdles likely to be encountered when purchasing a farm.

Once filming had finished we sat on hay bales to sample the delicious flap jacks, which Charlotte sells in their farm shop - and one member of team was even able to tick off one item on her bucket list by hugging chickens
