Dawn focuses on non-contentious leasehold matters including the grant of new leases, assignments and renewals.
She has acted for a number of clients with large property portfolios, advising on asset management issues. She has also advised on many freehold transactions and is proud of her “common sense” approach.
Dawn has strong local connections and this enables her to provide effective advice with a personal touch.
- Acted for a number of high street names over the years assisting in the management of their portfolio of properties dealing with lease renewals, licences for assignment and alterations and general management issues.
- Advised on the property elements of the sale and purchase of a number of leasehold licensed premises.
- Acted on a complex rearrangement of a multi-let property for a landlord. The matter involved the simultaneous grant of a new lease, surrender and re-grant of another lease and the grant of a reversionary lease. It was important that the matter was structured in a way that met the needs of all parties yet was as straightforward as possible.
Wright Hassall LLP’s work is ‘on a par with the big London firms’. It is acting for Chase Commercial on the redevelopment of a large site in Bromsgrove, and is providing ongoing advice to BMW and JC Decaux (UK).
After graduating with a degree in Biomedical Sciences from Sheffield University, Dawn completed the Graduate Diploma in Law. She trained at Wragge & Co where she qualified into the real estate department where she remained there until 2006. Dawn joined Wright Hassall in Summer 2011 in order to improve her work/life balance by being closer to home.
Dawn enjoys cycling, genealogy and gardening.
