Ian advises on the full range of employment issues as well as conducting his own advocacy before the Employment Tribunal. Ian has particular expertise in Employment Appeal Tribunal cases.
Ian has also advised parents on school admission, point of law appeals and exclusions.
- Advised on a Tribunal when a worker who was the director of his own personal service company which contracted with an employment business to supply his services to a client was a worker for the purposes of s.43K ERA 96. Croke V Hydro Aluminium Worcester Ltd.
- Advised a client on an employment tribunal which had a legal entity transferred under TUPE 1981. Computacenter v Swanton & others
- Successfully defended a disability discrimination claim at both the Employment Tribunal and the Employment Appeal Tribunal.
Ian qualified with Pearsons in 1982. He joined WH in 1984 and became a partner in 1985.
