Lorna acts for high net worth individuals in advising on succession planning, preparing wills, creating trusts and lasting powers of attorney.

Many of her clients are also business owners who want to ensure that their business interests pass to the appropriate beneficiaries on their death whilst being mindful of the tax implications of doing so and ensuring that any documentation dovetails with the provisions of their company governance documents.   

Lorna advises on and implements tax planning to ensure that the individual pays the right amount of tax for their transaction.

She also acts for executors and trustees in providing advice to them regarding their duties and the options available to them in relation to an estate and/ or trust. 

Lorna creates trusts for clients and also deals with the winding up of them. 

She has been noted for her pragmatic and empathetic approach.

Lorna is used to working alongside her clients’ other professional advisers to ensure a joined up approach to planning their affairs.


Lorna started her career at Blythe Liggins in 2006, she moved to Moore Blatch in 2011, then to Shakespeare Martineau in 2015, and Shoosmiths in 2017 before joining Wright Hassall in 2018.

Lorna is interested in film and goes to the cinema regularly.   She enjoys music and has been to Glastonbury many times.  Lorna enjoys going to the gym and tries to go more than she actually does. She also likes spending time with her friends and family.

Lorna loves skiing and goes at least once a season with a group of friends.
