Sandra acts in a wide range of construction disputes and has experience of advising on crucial issues that arise during projects including valuation, variations, delay, payment and defects.

She also provides help in drafting and checking contracts “at the front end of the project”.

Sandra advises clients from all sides of the industry including contractors, subcontractors and employers.

She provides commercially sound advice with a view to avoiding litigation which could be costly and disruptive to projects.

Experience

  • Advising specialist subcontractor on a substantial case regarding defects and contract termination.
  • Advising a commercial developer on a claim for a change in Statutory Requirements after the base date of the contract.
  • Adjudication for national engineering practice over non-payment of fees.
  • Supporting our social housing securitisation and development departments in providing advice to regional and national housing providers in relation to site acquisitions.

Career

Sandra graduated from Nottingham Law School before completing the Legal Practice Course in 2012. She qualified as a solicitor at a regional firm in Buckinghamshire and practised in general civil and commercial litigation. She developed a particular interest in disputes relating to construction projects whilst working with builder and developer clients.

Interests

In her spare time Sandra enjoys long walks in the countryside and travelling. She also enjoys going to the cinema and dining out.
