Terry is a partner in the Commercial Property department specialising in: asset management; acquisitions and disposals for both investment and redevelopment purposes; dealing with distressed property on behalf of business insolvency and restructuring professionals; and transferring commercial properties into tax efficient pension schemes.
He acts for a wide selection of clients ranging from high net worth individuals to owner managed businesses and blue chip corporate clients. He has managed the Lloyd’s Register Group of companies’ property portfolio for many years and has completed some of the largest office lease rentals in the Midlands and the South East for that company.
Terry also represents a number of both male and female professional footballers, dealing with their playing contracts, transfers and any disciplinary matters arising from the FA. He is also a Director of Birmingham & Solihull Rugby Club dealing with all legal matters for the club on a pro bono basis. He has cited and defended a number of cases at RFU disciplinary hearings.
Terry joined Wright Hassall in 2015 having previously worked for Birmingham firms, Clarke Willmott, SG Martineau and latterly Emms Gilmore Liberson.
Terry loves wine and is an ambassador for Hotel du Vin, Birmingham. When he gets any spare time, Terry plays golf, speaks Spanish and attends wine dinners at Hotel du Vin (but not necessarily all at the same time!).
