Keri is a solicitor in our agricultural sector. Having converted to law, after first completing a Masters in Environmental Sciences she has a particular interest in specialising in agricultural and environmental disputes.

As part of the wider agricultural sector, Keri acts for and advise a range of clients on a variety of issues including:

  • dealing with disputes and issues with the RPA and agricultural subsidy payments;
  • advising and representing clients in respect of regulatory breaches, investigations and enforcement proceedings;
  • advising clients regarding agricultural regulatory requirements;
  • advising clients regarding general agricultural and partnership disputes

Keri also assists the wider dispute resolution teams with all stages of the litigation process, and has worked on a range of cases include professional negligence claims, breach of contract and proprietary estoppel.

  • Advising in relation to agricultural estates where there are disputed will and proprietary estoppel claims
  • Acted on behalf of individuals and charities in relation to agricultural subsidy disputes and challenging decisions by the Rural Payments Agency
  • Acted on behalf of a land owner who was being investigated and prosecuted by the Environment Agency. We undertook the initial meetings and advised the client regarding the interview under caution and represented our client at the interview under caution

Career

Keri graduated with a Masters in Environmental Sciences from the University of Southampton in 2011. She spent two years converting to law (completing the Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Court) before joining Wright Hassall as a paralegal in the Real Estate Team in October 2014. Keri completed her training contract at Wright Hassall and qualified as a solicitor in 2018.

Interests

In her spare time, Keri enjoys baking, walking and yoga.
