Rachael is our Probate Manager, leading the probate team whilst also acting in administering individuals’ estates on behalf of private executors or when Wright Hassall members are executors, or on behalf of administrators for intestate estates.
Her calm and friendly approach and attention to detail reassures clients at a difficult time. From the initial contact with executor, reviewing the Will, ascertaining details of the estate and calculating the inheritance tax position to the ongoing administrative duties in collecting and distributing the estate she is able to handle all aspects or tailor her input to meet the executors wishes.
Rachael is experienced in administering estates with agricultural, business and foreign aspects and has acted in a number of estates with charitable or complex intestate devolutions.
She can highlight where deeds of variation may be possible if beneficiaries wish to alter the direction of bequests under the estate, to benefit others or to minimise the inheritance tax position on connected estates where there are two deaths within two years.
"I would like to say a big thank you to both Rachael Kell and Julie Bell for their excellent service on two different matters."
Rachael has over 25 years of experience in administering all types of estates and has been with Wright Hassall since 2015. Rachael is a member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Rachael has acted in three separate administrations for one family over a period of 8 years, as the family were confident in the level of service and attention provided.
Rachael has experience in proving handwritten Wills or those which may have been damaged, lost or altered and the additional requirements this involves in putting a case forward to the Probate court to ensure the testators wishes are upheld.
Rachael also enjoys the challenge of complex inheritance tax calculations and intestate situations.
