The law might be the same, but do your lawyers have to be?
Every client an advocate. That's the Wright Hassall way.
The law might be the same across England, but do your lawyers have to be?
At Wright Hassall we dare to be different. Our clients tell us that, as well as being exceptional lawyers, we are proactive, diligent, commercial, provide value for money and, above all, we have great people who are fun to work with.
We pride ourselves on the satisfaction levels of our clients. We have a defined way of working across the firm, “The Wright Hassall way”, which sets the service levels to which we aspire. At the end of every matter, we will ask you whether we have met these standards and, if not, we will work with you to ensure that any short-comings are addressed immediately. We do not stand still, we aim to continually improve in everything we do.
"Claire Waring helped me through a very complicated property deal and she was excellent. She very much takes the approach of working together and is good at providing strategic advice as opposed to just legal opinions."

"I would like to say a big thank you to both Rachael Kell and Julie Bell for their excellent service on two different matters."

People we help
Recently, we advised a housing association which had discovered that a neighbouring land owner who was not a tenant of the association had tipped large amounts of building rumble onto a driveway which provided vehicular access to some of the association’s buildings.
The drive way was blocked and could not be used. It was clear from the title documents that the association had a right to use the driveway, but the large amount of building waste made that use impossible. Dialogue with the neighbour proved fruitless and it was necessary to threaten and then issue court proceedings for an injunction.
We realise that our people are our most valuable asset and we understand that providing them with a great environment, challenging work and supported personal development is vital to our success.
Our team of technical expertsDawn focuses on non-contentious leasehold matters including the grant of new leases, assignments and renewals.
A default judgment it is a judgment which has been obtained by a claimant by default because the defendant has failed to respond to the claim. The judgment is granted without the court considering any evidence or submissions from the defendant.
When a claim is brought in the County or High Court, and the defendant to that claim fails to respond within the specified time limits, either by filing an acknowledgment of service and/or a defence to the claim, a default judgment can be entered against a defendant.
As 2020 passed the baton to 2021, any optimism we may have been harbouring about a gradual return to normality, as the vaccination programme began its rollout, was badly dented by another lockdown and the inevitable economic disruption that entails.
