Science parks
Our science park team cover all aspects of commercial law, and our dedicated team work with science parks and their tenant’s to find legal and commercially viable solutions to any issues that arise. We are active participants in the UK Science Parks Association and members of the team have been advising science and research parks for over thirty years.
Our team has experience in dealing with science and research parks that may be university or research facility led or run by a private developer/owner or a joint venture. We have established new science parks and helped develop existing ones.
We deal with both the science parks directly (either the owner or the landlord) as well as providing a range of services for science park tenants. As a sector team we meet regularly to review trends and issues relevant to our science and research park clients and their tenant’s.
Our experience with science parks, in general, is that they create an environment that facilitates the support and growth of the tenant businesses. However, science parks are still a commercial entity, particularly as we are seeing a wider range of investors and owners into the sector. As such, we have established a range of expertise within our team that aim to facilitate this environment while ensure the science park will remain commercially viable.
"The members of the team that I deal with are very responsive, which is critical to our business."
Charity retailers
Given our location - we are based out-of-town/ City - we are able to provide charity retailers with cost competitive legal fees often on a fixed fee basis.
We recognise that charity retailers do not want to spend money on solicitors' fees but they need to protect their organisation by doing things in the right way.
Our approach is to provide charity retailers with straightforward, commercial advice which helps them to focus on their core objective of raising funds whilst staying on the right side of the law.
