Fern specialises in non-contentious property matters relating to agriculture and rural land, with a particular interest in adverse possession, and first registration applications.
About Fern
With over 10 years experience working in both residential conveyancing, and the agricultural industry, Fern brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for her areas of specialty.
Her skill set includes sales and purchases, as well as mortgages, transfer of equity, first registrations and lease extensions.
Fern also specialises in sales and purchases of rural and agricultural land, advising on areas relating to easements, overage, agricultural tenancies, licences, and public rights of way.
Property matters often present with complex challenges, which Fern relishes. She is sensitive to her clients needs, and keen to ensure they are made to feel involved at every stage of their transaction.
Experience
- Fern has a wider knowledge of all things agriculture, having spent a number of years working for the National Farmers Union (NFU).
- Fern has acted for a number of high net worth clients, particularly where they have required elements of both rural/agricultural and residential property advice.
Career
After completing her law degree, Fern studied to become a Licensed Conveyancer, qualifying in 2015 while working at Brethertons LLP, before gaining agricultural and rural legal knowledge working at the NFU.
When arriving at Wright Hassall, Fern worked in agricultural property, and now takes on both agricultural and residential matters.

Interests
When not running around after her young family, Fern can be found at the gym on a spin bike, crocheting blankets, reading books, holidaying in the Lake District, or out for dinner with friends.
Fern takes great pride and infinite reward from volunteering time with Wright Hassall’s current chosen charity.
