We recruiting for a self-motivated and proactive Conveyancer to work within our Private Client team.

Person specification

It is essential that you have a proven background in a stand-alone residential conveyancing role with solid experience in dealing with all aspects of residential freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, new build and re-mortgage work. 

The work will involve quality rather than quantity and you should be confident to run your own files to maintain the firm’s exceptional standards in delivering straight-forward quality advice to clients.

You will demonstrate excellent organisational and IT skills as well as written and verbal communication skills. You should be able to work under pressure to tight deadlines and be a strong team player.


Job responsibilities

  • Support key events to help secure profitable new clients and increase the Firm’s profile.
  • Liaise with clients and organisations to progress matters, resolving as many enquiries as possible and where referral is needed ensuring comprehensive information is provided.
  • Ensure clients receive accurate, up-to-date legal advice that takes account of their circumstances and represents "value for money”.
  • Assist in the drafting and preparation of documentation.
  • Administer own caseload, keep detailed and accurate electronic files and ensure critical dates are met.
  • Prepare high quality documentation including letters, emails, spreadsheets and reports as required.
  • Maintain the integrity of data in key platforms such as Lawsoft, Visualfiles, Worksite and InterAction by ensuring that they are updated in a timely manner.
  • Ensure timesheets are updated and posted on a daily basis.
  • Achieve personal utilisation / realisation / monthly income targets.
  • All invoices to be raised on completion of the matter and where possible interim billing to be applied. Disbursements and other ‘expenses’ to be invoiced as and when incurred.
