Every business and employer is aware of the furlough scheme, and many will have taken advantage of the scheme to enable their business to survive and find a way through the pandemic. The current scheme is due to come to a close on 30th September 2021.

Employers must start to make decisions now on what will happen when the scheme ends. For some employers, the end of the scheme will mean returning all their employees to work. However, some employers will have to make some tough decisions to ensure the long-term survival of their business. Sadly, this may mean redundancies.

What you will learn:

  • The key dates and what those mean for employers.
  • The impact on contractual statutory notice.
  • The redundancy process.
