Andrew is a commercial property lawyer in our real estate team. He has considerable experience in acting for clients on the acquisition and disposal of freehold and leasehold commercial properties in the industrial, logistics, retail and leisure sectors. He has an extensive knowledge of commercial leases and the legal issues relating to the management of commercial property portfolios.
Andrew has specialist skills in advising clients on refinancing where the lender is taking security over property and transferring commercial properties into tax efficient pension schemes (SIPP and SSAS).
An approachable attitude together with the ability to collaborate with other professionals enables him to complete transactions in a timely manner.

- Advised on the property elements in relation to the acquisition of the freehold interest in a large hotel and leisure complex for an overall purchase price in excess of £10 million.
- Acted in the acquisition and disposal of various commercial investment properties forming part of a mixed portfolio of retail and office uses.
- Acted for a Tenant who re-geared a number of leases on a Worcestershire industrial estate with combined rents in the region of £250,000 a year.
- Acted for a client on the refinance of a number of its hotels in Warwickshire.

Andrew trained at Black Country firm, Higgs & Sons and qualified as a solicitor in 2001. He moved to a practice in Redditch in 2006 and worked for HCB Solicitors until 2015 before moving to Wright Hassall in January 2016.
Andrew enjoys sport (mostly watching football and rugby) and still manages to play indoor football. He likes to spend time walking his two pet dogs in the country.
