Cheryl’s specialism is the conveyancing of newbuild plots for her developer clients helping them achieve the sales of their newbuild plots to their customers which is the last and crucial step in a long process from the initial purchase of the land.
Plot sales is fast-paced with many deadlines having to be met for both exchange of contracts and completions, particularly in peak times such as Christmas, Easter and Bank Holidays where many sales are completed on the same day. Advance preparation is essential in such cases as well as receiving up to date information from buyers’ solicitors to ensure the transactions run smoothly.
Cheryl began her career as a secretary and her first job in a law firm was with F B Hancock & Co. in Shipston-on-Stour in 1994. That firm later merged with Lodders Solicitors LLP in Stratford-upon-Avon where she worked for many years firstly in the residential conveyancing team and then later in the plot sales team. During that time, she made the transition from secretary to fee earner and obtained the qualification of Chartered Legal Executive of which she is a Fellow. She joined Wright Hassall LLP in January 2020.
Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.
Cheryl is married and lives in Banbury. She has one grown up daughter who lives in Fareham, Hampshire. Outside work she is a football fan and is an Aston Villa season ticket holder which takes up much of her spare time. She tries to keep fit and enjoys eating out and socialising with family and friends.
She also enters competitions and has won holidays to Rome and Florida in the past with an IPad and Premier League football tickets amongst her success.
