Experience
Perveen advises on a broad range of property-related disputes with expertise in the fields of commercial landlord and tenant, developers disputes (including rights of way, boundary disputes and other impediments to development). Also assisted clients with compulsory purchase order compensation.
She has advised a local council on regeneration of markets and assisted in regularising rent and service charge recovery from traders within the market. This involved dealing with technical issues surrounding electricity supplies to various parts of the market and historic errors in calculation of service charge.
In the landlord and tenant arena, advises on a full range of disputes including dilapidations claims and other breach of covenant issues, contested and uncontested lease renewals, break notice disputes and rent reviews. Also dealt regularly with recovering possession of land from unlawful occupiers for one of the largest privately owned property companies in the UK and one of the largest providers of properties for SMEs.
In addition to court-based litigation, is experienced in using Alternative Disputes Resolution, including mediation and PACT, across a range of property disputes.
