Tracie advises corporate clients on all aspects of the Points Based System including Tier 2 applications, Tier 5 applications and initial sponsor licence applications. In addition, Tracie advises individuals on personal immigration issues in relation to initial applications for leave to enter, leave to remain extension applications, settlement and naturalisation applications.
She also assists EU based clients with Van der Elst applications to obtain permission for their non-EEA employees to provide services in the UK.
- Provided advice to a range of employers in respect of their sponsorship duties under the Points Based System.
- Advised a German company of the requirements for a Van Der Elst application and was successful in securing a number of Van Der Elst visas which allowed non-EEA nationals working for the EU employer in Italy to travel to the UK and provide services to a UK company.
- Advised and assisted a large multi-national organisation during a visit from UKVI in respect of illegal working.
- Advised and assisted with Civil Penalty notices served on a UK company in respect of clandestine entrants located in transit from France to the UK.

Tracie joined Wright Hassall in January 2013 having spent over 22 years working for the UK Border Agency. She has worked as a frontline Immigration Officer at Heathrow Airport, a UKBA enforcement officer, a UKBA caseworker and as a Chief Immigration Officer at Birmingham Airport. Tracie has extensive contacts within the UKBA having worked alongside law enforcement agencies, the Serious Organised Crime Agency and Child Exploitation Online Protection Agency.
Tracie enjoys athletics and playing squash. She is also a senior representative of the Premier Division for the West Midlands Women’s Regional Football league.
