About Toni
Toni specialises in all types of residential conveyancing transactions – whether freehold or leasehold; purchasing or selling; registered or unregistered land; acting for different types of clients – purchasers, sellers, lenders.
She is able to think outside of the box and endeavours to think of solutions to problems that may arise during the transaction. She enjoys trying to work around a problem, ensuring that she understands the issue from her clients’ point of view, and trying to reach a conclusion that matters to them. She is passionate about her clients’ needs and enjoys getting to know her clients individually throughout the process.
Experience
There are many conveyancers on the market that deal with “tick box” processes. They then struggle when they meet something that is outside of the ordinary. Toni has been qualified for over 25 years and has seen a lot of change within the Conveyancing world. As a result, she is able to use her vast experience to deal with anything that arises.
- Acting for multiple clients buying both registered and unregistered properties.
- Selling London properties for a wealthy client who was selling her portfolio.
- Acting for investment buyers increasing their portfolio of “buy to let” properties.
Career
After gaining her law degree at the University of Central England, Taunton-born Toni qualified in 1998 with Taunton firm, Bevan Ashford. She moved to Hancocks Solicitors in Banbury when she qualified, moving away from her home town.
She remained with Hancocks until early 2024 when she was made redundant. During her career she became a member of STEP and the Solicitors for the Elderly, using that experience and knowledge to help her elderly clients within the conveyancing world.
Interests
Toni used to love beekeeping, and had her own hives before she got divorced and moved home. Since lockdown she has realised how precious it is to be able to spend time with her two daughters, and their partners. She enjoys aromatherapy, and is often found suggesting oils to colleagues that may help with any problems.
Since moving home in 2022 she has taken up DIY and enjoys the feeling of actually creating something herself. She has 3 cats at home, and can be found with usually 2 of them sat with her every evening, often trying to sit in her space for her attention.
